Purpose

Just as my ancestors surround me in this photo,

so shall your ancestors surround you during pregnancy, childbirth and as you parent.

DoulaLove’s Wisdom

The image to the left is of Guan Yin, known as the Goddess of Mercy, Compassion, Kindness and Love. (Bodhisattva-being of Bodhi or enlightenment, one who has earned to leave the world of suffering and is destined to become a Buddha, but has forgone the bliss of nirvana with a vow to save all children of God.)

My purpose is to support you in having your highest and best pregnancy and childbirth experience. I provide nurturing support to you during your pregnancy and child’s birth, with compassion, love and unconditional acceptance of your unique individual journey in the birth process. When a woman is fully supported, nurtured and cared for during pregnancy and childbirth, she is able to tap into her inner power and the entire family benefits.

As your doula, I bring my heart and soul to this incredible birthing work. I bring my heart and soul to you, your baby and your family. I am here to remind you of the love that you already are, and it is from this love and (not fear) in which you will birth. This time in your life is a time of great joy and celebration; as well as a time of deep inner work of giving birth to yourself, your child and your family. I am committed to standing with you during your pregnancy and childbirth. It is my honor and privilege to be of service to you and your family.

As your birthing process begins, may you in consciousness rise above and leave the false perceptions about childbirth that our world would have you believe. May you stand in your inner Goddess of Compassion, Kindness and Love and give birth to your child in this truth, in this vision.

Peace, love and light to you.

To Every woman who is pregnant...

To every woman who has birthed a child, To every woman who has birthed and then lost a child, To every woman who has longed to birth her own child but instead became a mother to other children, I acknowledge you and I honor you, the world needs you.

Where would we be without the mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers of our ancestral female lineage. We need, we require, we must acknowledge the energy and the wisdom of our foremothers who birthed and mothered before us. Their courage and strength runs through our veins… and as women, this is how we know we can birth and birth naturally, if we choose to.

“Having a natural birth would have been impossible without you at my side. Your presence was essential.”
